One of the hot days in summer '18, I was enjoying a very hot day swimming at ‘t Witven in Veldhoven. All of a sudden we got surprised by the fire brigade, ambulances, the police and even a trauma helicopter who appeared on the beach. We heared that A man jumped of a plateau in the water, not even 15 meters away from us. He took a dive, but he didn’t know that the water was only 30 cm deep. Probably he got paralysed from his neck till his toes. It was so impressive how the staff acted and how everyone worked together so well and quick. And I Will never forget how a fireman with an inflatable crocodile under his arm ran into the water to keep the victim’s head above the water.
