This project started because of my love for second-hand clothes. Searching for that one unique piece, for less money - giving it a beautiful second life and wearing it till it’s completely worn out.
The clothing industry keeps growing and only the bigger companies survive. Their products are cheaper, allowing you to buy more and catch up with the fast fashion trends. Therefore it doesn’t really matter if the quality is poor. Unfortunately there are a lot of people, especially children, who suffer because of this system.
I wondered how I could make people feel more involved and connected with their clothes. The Circle of Garments is a new alternative to grow your own textile you have to take care of by yourself. Buy it, take care of it, wear it and eventually bury it.
